FITNESS CHALLENGE
How did days 22 to 28 go?
I can’t believe that it’s been almost a month since I started this challenge. Honestly, it’s not been as to how I would have hoped it would be. There have been many obstacles but I know there will always be obstacles when it comes to things we really want.
It’s about how we overcome those obstacles and what we’re willing to do to achieve the goals we’ve set out to achieve.
I hope that by the end of this challenge, even if I don’t achieve the goals that I had set for this challenge (or even if I’m not anywhere near to it), I hope that I’d have learned more about myself and learned how to do better in the future so that my main fitness goals for this year can be achieved come end of 2020.
Anyway, let’s see how this week turned out to be.
Monday
Workouts : 40 minutes of weights and 15 minutes of cardio / 500 calories burned
Diet : Breakfast — Plain porridge / Lunch — Fried noodles / Dinner — Rice with dishes
Rest : 7 hours of sleep
Tuesday
Workouts : 40 minutes of weights and 15 minutes of cardio / 550 calories burned
Diet : Breakfast — Egg sandwiches / Lunch — Half a plate of chicken rice / Dinner — Intermittent Fasting
Rest : 7 hours of sleep
Wednesday
Workouts : Rest day
Diet : Breakfast — Cream bun / Lunch — KFC snack plate / Dinner — Steamed vegetables
Rest : 7 hours of sleep
Thursday
Workouts : Fell sick
Diet : Breakfast — Porridge / Lunch — Skipped / Dinner — Porridge
Rest : 7 hours of sleep
Friday
Workouts : Still sick
Diet : Breakfast — Porridge / Lunch — Chicken rice / Dinner — Vegetable soup
Rest : 7 hours of sleep
Saturday
Workouts : Still sick
Diet : Breakfast — Bread / Lunch — Noodles soup / Dinner — Burger
Rest : 5 hours of sleep (had difficulties sleeping due to a bad cough)
Sunday
Workouts : Still sick
Diet : Breakfast — Intermittent fasting / Lunch — Noodles / Dinner — Shepherd’s pie
Rest : 7 hours of sleep
I fell sick unexpectedly in the middle of the week that really threw me off everything I had planned for the week in terms of working out and eating. Because I’ll be travelling for work for at least half of next week, I really wanted this week to be good in terms of working out and diet.
In the end, only my diet was somewhat alright. As for my workouts, I was only able to do so on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday was my rest day and from Thursday until Sunday, I was too ill to do anything. Plus, I had to rest so that I get better for my work trip.
This week hasn’t gone to plan at all and now that I’m all better, I need to try to do something next week to even things out.
Let’s hope next week is better.
